- Pray that spiritual breakthrough and revivals would happen in Turkey due to the blood of martyrs that was shed on the land for its people.
- Pray that the "golden censer" before the throne of God(Rev 8:3-5) would be filled with the prayers of intercessors on the international day of prayer for Turkey, April 18 every year.
- Pray that even more powerful spiritual breakthroughs and revivals would happen during April 2027 "B2N" prayer gathering, 20 year commemorating martyrdom of Malatya in 2007.
18 years ago, on April 18, 2007, in Malatya, Turkey, German missionary Tilmann Geske, a local pastor Necati Aydin and brother Ugur Yuksel were cruelly murdered by 5 extreme nationalist youths.
Through this martyrdom incident, the existence of the church in Turkey became known, and although almost all foreign missionaries left the city, it rather became an opportunity for the believers of the Turkish church to go out into the streets and openly proclaim their faith.
After this incident, every year on April 18th is designated as "The International Day of Prayer for Turkey," calling on Christians around the world to pray for the evangelization of Turkey.
Even after the martyrdom of Pastor Tilmann, his wife, Susanne Tilmann and their three children did not leave Malatya. Instead, through national TV broadcasts, they sent a message of forgiveness in the name of Jesus Christ to the five youths who killed her husband and the father of her three children. This gave a fresh shock to all Turkish people.
After the martyrdom incident, many missionaries came to Malatya and boldly preached the gospel.
Through the dedication and hard work of many local believers, a church was established in Malatya, and 100 people were baptized. Currently, 50-60 people regularly attend Sunday services. Furthermore, they are evangelizing in various regions and establishing churches.
From April 15th to 19th, 2027, We will have a united prayer meeting, Blessings to Nations (B2N), in Antalya. Especially on April 18th, the day of martyrdom, at the Aspendos Ancient Theatre (Photos 5 & 6), believers and prayer partners from various countries and ethnic groups who believe in Jesus Christ are planning a festival to worship and glorify God together.
We will proclaim forgiveness and reconciliation towards one another in Jesus Christ, not conflict, wounds, hatred, or war among the nations and peoples of the Middle East. This festival will be a place to proclaim God's grace and blessing towards this land and its people.
This land is a place where the blood of countless martyrs has been shed throughout history.
Now, I believe that when we achieve unity through mutual forgiveness and reconciliation within the gospel and earnestly pray together for the healing and revival of this land, a great spiritual awakening will occur among this land and its people.
