New Bill in Congress Condemns Christian Persecution in Muslim-Majority Nations

 August 08, 2025
  • Pray that all violence and persecutions against christians and the Church of Jesus Christ would stop immediately
  • Pray that all local believers and churches in the persecuted regions would persevere until "the end" in special grace and power of God
  • Pray that all the Good News of Jesus Christ and its power would spread even more powerfully in the midst of persecutions. Your Kingdom Come!

7/31/2025 United States (International Christian Concern) — Earlier this month, International Christian Concern (ICC) partnered with the International Institute for Religious Freedom (IIRF) to support their Violent Incidents Database (VID).

VID is the first of its kind, monitoring and analyzing religious freedom violations worldwide. The database has recorded more than 600,000 incidents of religious persecution during the past four years.

“Reliable data is essential to ICC’s advocacy work,” ICC’s Advocacy Manager McKenna Wendt said. “It ensures that our pleas to governments and policymakers are backed by undeniable evidence. ICC is honored to partner with the IIRF on this innovative project, and we look forward to the ways it will strengthen our advocacy for persecuted Christians worldwide.”

The database tracks religious freedom violations in five continents, monitoring incidents ranging from arrests and abductions to sexual assaults and killings. While the VID relies heavily on publicly sourced information, many incidents are never made public or covered by the news, and often, many Christians fear the backlash they might face if they try to bring their perpetrators to justice.

“Through this collaboration, ICC intends to use the VID to expose and respond to the growing persecution of Christians around the world,” Wendt said. “By integrating the data into our projects, reports, and conversations with policymakers, we aim to highlight the urgent need for meaningful action on behalf of our brothers and sisters in Christ.”
