French Olympics opening parody of Last Supper

By Mark Ellis July 26, 2024
  • Pray that all Christians who are beholding what went down in the "opening ceremony" in the Paris Olympics would discern these last days.
  • We bind all rulers, authorities, powers of this dark world and spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realm in the Name of Jesus Christ(Eph. 6:12).
  • Maranatha! Amen. Come, Lord Jesus! Fulfill Your Prophecy, and bring down Your righteous and eternal kingdom of the New Heaven and New Earth.

French atheism displayed its ugly face Friday night at the opening ceremonies of the Paris Olympics, which featured numerous drag queens as part of the official proceedings, including one blasphemous performance mocking DaVinci’s painting of the Last Supper, with drag queens portraying the disciples and a plus-size woman portraying Jesus.

In addition to the parade of athletes on a flotilla of boats, rather than marching on land, the performances on the sidelines seemed to also be lost at sea.

“A headless Marie Antoinette, the last queen prior to being executed amid French Revolution, singing with her severed head in her hands sporting drag-style makeup. This was part of numerous drag queens that appeared to be a recurring theme throughout the ceremonies,” Fox News reported.

Historically, the American and French Revolutions could not have been more different. One had Judeo-Christian underpinnings, the other ruthlessly attacked the clergy and the nobility.

The French Revolution included the Reign of Terror, where radical factions led by figures like Robespierre took control and executed thousands, including the king and queen.

Its atheistic foundations led to political instability, marked by the rise and fall of several governments, including the radical Jacobin regime, and ultimately the rise of Napoleon Bonaparte, who established himself as the Emperor of France.

“Men in wigs front & center at the Olympic Games,” OutKick’s Riley Gaines wrote in a social media post. “No one ever tell me this group is ‘oppressed’ or ‘marginalized’ again.”

Even Tesla founder Elon Musk stood up for believers, tweeting: “This was extremely disrespectful to Christians.”

Harrison Butker, an NFL football player who made headlines with his speech about Catholic faith quoted scripture to condemn the display, writing, “Be not deceived, God is not mocked. For what things a man shall sow, those also shall he reap. For he that soweth in his flesh, of the flesh also shall reap corruption. But he that soweth in the spirit, of the spirit shall reap life everlasting.’ Galatians 6:7-8.”

It seemed the Olympics gave itself over completely to far-left wokeism.

“What the hell is going on at the Olympics?” video journalist Nick Sortor wrote. “No wonder nobody bothers watching anymore.”

Fox reported that Conservative French politician and European parliament member Marion Maréchal, warned international viewers that this polarizing display does not represent French people like herself.

“To all the Christians of the world who are watching the #Paris2024 ceremony and felt insulted by this drag queen parody of the Last Supper, know that it is not France that is speaking but a left-wing minority ready for any provocation. #notinmyname,” she wrote.
