Heavenly father, we come before you today

with hearts full of compassion and concern

for the people of Iran.

 

We lift up this nation to you, knowing that you are a God of love,

justice and mercy.

We pray for your divine intervention and guidance in the lives

of all Iranians, especially during these challenging times.

Lord, we pray for the Iranian underground church.

We thank you for the courage and faith of our brothers and sisters

who gather in secret to worship you and spread your word.

We ask for your protection over them.

Shield them from persecution and harm.

Strengthen their faith and hope in you,

and let your Holy Spirit guide them

as they share the gospel with those who have not yet

heard of your saving grace.

 

Father, we pray for the governments and leaders of Iran.

We ask that you soften their hearts and open their eyes

to the needs and rights of their people. Grant them wisdom and compassion

to lead justly and fairly. We pray for an end to all the policies

and actions that oppress and harm the citizens,

especially those who follow you. Let your peace and justice prevail

in this land. We lift up to you the economic struggles

faced by many Iranians. Lord provides for those who are in need.

Open doors for employment and opportunities

that will enable families to support themselves.

We pray for stability in the economy and for relief from the financial burdens

that many are facing. May your provisions be evidenced in the lives of those who trust in you.

 

Lord, we also pray for the youth of Iran. We ask that you give them hope and vision

for a better future. Protect them from despair and hopelessness.

Lead them to opportunities for education, growth and positive change.

Let them encounter your love and truth, and may they be agents of transformation

in their communities.

 

We remember those who are imprisoned or persecuted for their faith.

Comfort them, Lord, and let them feel your presence in their darkest moments.

Grant them courage and strength to endure, and let their witness be a light

that draws others to you. We pray for their families, that they may be sustained

by your grace and comforted by your peace. Father, we also lift up the women of Iran

who face unique persecution and threats of danger.

 

We pray for their protection and for opportunities to thrive

in all areas of life. May they know their worth in your eyes.

Grant them strength and courage to stand against the oppressive regime

that seeks to strip them of their freedom and humanity.

We pray right now for your growing church in Iran.

Would you raise up strong faith field leaders

who will train and equip the next generation of Christians in Iran,

so that your gospel of hope will reach every corner of the nation?

And beyond.

 

Let them experience your miraculous power in their lives each day.

Lastly, father, we pray for a spiritual awakening in rock

power of your spirit upon this nation. May hearts be open to the gospel, and may many come to know Jesus as their Savior.

Use the underground church and believers everywhere as the source of your love and truth.

Let your kingdom come. Your will be done in Iran as it is in Heaven.

We trust your unfailing love and sovereignty. Thank you for hearing our prayers.
